Re: Porsche 917LH Gulf
Glad to know that you are OK, and I have the same problem with being drained after work so that you don't feel up to modeling.
Now I have the three Fisher 917LH kits in your photo! Just need to start working on them... Cameron |

Re: Porsche 917LH Gulf
How's this build coming along? I just ordered the '70 917 LH from Fisher (Elford kit) and decals to do the Hippie car from Colorado decals (The Hippie kit itself is out due to decal inavailability I presume)

Re: Porsche 917LH Gulf
Seeing you working on this again is great!!
Always nice to see a Gulf livery and especially nice to see it on a 917LH

Re: Porsche 917LH Gulf
Good to see this started again. I recently (more or less) finished off the Marsh kit in 1:43 and the Siffert\Bell paint scheme is a bit of a pain. I've been thinking of picking up this kit, although I recently bought the Fisher Hippy 917 off ebay, so that might come first. Will be eager to see what you make of it!

Re: Porsche 917LH Gulf
Hi,
Great build! I'm pretty much a noob compared to the models that I can see here and I am lacking in info and resources... I was wondering where can you buy those Gulf colors, as I got a couple of 917Ks from Fujimi awaiting completion. Many thanks and good luck with that beautiful Lang Heck!

Re: Porsche 917LH Gulf
Here is the step-by-step of the mask.
I used a piece of styrene with thick of 0,75mm to check the distance between the inside and outside mask And the final result

Re: Porsche 917LH Gulf
Exceptional stuff! Excellent work on actually masking and painting the black line too, may need to try that myself using your technique.

Re: Porsche 917LH Gulf
Great method for one of the most hideous masking jobs on a car that I can think of!
