Dodge Grand Caravan 3.3L Engine Vibration

I did a tune up on my 3.3L Dodge Grand Caravan only to find the engine is vibrating heavily. This tune up included a new coil pack, plugs and wires.

I did happen to notice a separate thing when looking at the Crankshaft Pulley that it seemed to be wobbling while the engine was running.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

If the vibrating started after the tune up then I would say you got a bad part somewhere, whether it is a plug or maybe a coil. I am wondering though if the check engine light is on or not?? If it is misfiring it should turn the light on. I have seen many crank pulley have some slight wobble to them. I have considered it normal. You have a layer of rubber between two pieces of metal, its going to move some just from the pulses of the engine.

it possible you got 2 of the wires on the wrong plugs, check the firing oder and check your plug wires if you didn't have the vibration before the tune up. its also possible you have a incorrectly gapped plug or bad plug

Re: Dodge Grand Caravan 3.3L Engine Vibration

Thank you for responding...

I installed a new coil pack, new wires, and new Bosch pre-gapped plugs.

Today i noticed an unburnt fuel smell but I checked the spark plug wires and coil against the manual.

1 3 5

2 4 6 is the order of the cylinders.

3 1 5

2 4 6 is the order on the coil.

i removed all new plugs looked for cracks in the insulator and then went and cleaned them before re-installing them. i made sure everything clicked in terms of being connected and then fired the engine back up and got the same results.

I think my next two steps are to try the original factory coil pack, and then different brand plugs perhaps NGK.
