Noise in steering wheel
2004 LS V6. I have the telescoping steering wheel when I get into the seat and start the car the steering wheel moves into position when it moves up and down it makes a noise as if something is grinding it's not the plastic housing around the column it seems to be in the neck. Any ideas

Re: Noise in steering wheel
I'm not sure what be likely to cause that noise, but in the mean time I would suggest you turn off the "Easy Entry" feature so that you don't end up with a steering wheel that cannot get in the comfortable and safe position of your liking.

Re: Noise in steering wheel
You should be able to select that through the driver information center in the instrument cluster. If you don't have an owner's manual to see details on how to disable it, you can download a PDF of the manual from here.
