air filter assembly vibration
Hi:
Since I bought my car this year, 2000' 4-cyl., i've noticed an engine vibration while the car is in gear. I've narrowed it down to the air filter assembly. It seems to be slightly loose where it sits. Not sure if there are any mounting bolts with it, there seems to be a lot of wires and hoses connected to it and I don't want to take it apart unless I have to. Can anyone confirm for me that the air filter assembly is slightly loose where it sits in the engine compartment? Thanks in advance. |

Air filter housing doesn't cause vibrations. Sounds like an engine mount problem... See if the rubber inserts are broken.

Re: air filter assembly vibration
2000 camry uses hydraulic motor mounts and they sag over time the rear one is the one that takes most of the abuse and is the hardest one to change.
