Question Gas Mileage

I just bought a used 2002 Aerio, works great but it seems that the gas mileage is thta that great. Seems that my ford expedition saves me more gas then the aerio does. Is this normal on such a smal car?

if your gas mileage is that bad then you are doing something wrong. log onto www.aeriostyle.com and check out a couple threads that are going on there. I know I have posted charts of the mileage I've been getting with my Auto AWD Aerio, which notoriously is the worst when it comes to fuel consumption. I get 27s and 28s no problem with highway driving. If your Chevy Craprice and Ford Exploder get anything near that then I am impressed.

btw, those names are a joke only. i really don't have anything against those vehicles.

fuel

the cars is very heavy at it tends touse mre fuel than you might think. the weight of the car is about the same as a mazda mpv base modle so it struggles for power and that means gas. but i have the same car and on other forms i have heard and seen people say that the fuel gauge does not work that well thier is a glitch in the software that shows an inaccurate gauge. when i do a full fill up, it will show minus 2 to 3 ticks of the digital gauge.

Re: Gas Mileage

"the cars is very heavy at it tends touse mre fuel than you might think." Rite on there because all the reviews on the 07 SX4 said it is heavier than the other small cross overs. It has the AWD (4 wheel drive) and as such has to be built stronger than the regular 2WD models plus the transfercase and gears all add weight to the tune of 300 to 400 pounds heavier than it's competitors. so it cut the gas mileage a few mpg.
