Mint Tamiya 180sx
I got this off of ebay about 2 months ago. Cheap too ($3.84 USD) I must say, this is the oldest model in my collection. This one was made in 1989. Not to sure if I want to build this, or if I do build it Not sure if I wana go OBB or Custom.
Hard to find? I think so. Also if anyone just has to have this kit, There is a listing on ebay, Starting at $30.00 ,$20.00 shipping. http://cgi.ebay.com/TAMIYA-1-24-NISS...QQcmdZViewItem

Re: Mint Tamiya 180sx
if its really rare, i should keep it boxed...but it depends though...to 'rare' kits go up in price really high...like $100+ or more like $40? if not, i should paint it candy apple red, with gold rims and a polished outter lip...

Re: Mint Tamiya 180sx
What's the point of keeping it in the box? The price goes up and you sell it, and now you don't have that kit anymore. Just some money. Money is easy to find. Build it.

Re: Mint Tamiya 180sx
its not that rare of a kit... but i would do it custom... this was like the 1st kit that ive ever done as a custom.. and it was a good kit itself, but i probably should have waited to do custom on another kit, because now my skills are better and i realized that i should have waited... oh well... but go ahead and built it!

Re: Mint Tamiya 180sx
My local hobby store have 6 of them, exactly the same, so i dont tink they are too rare, and for the prices in my country, $30 for a cheap kit, they are very very cheap, like.. $15 or so

Re: Mint Tamiya 180sx
Build it dude! Thats why we are in the hobby, i see no point on staring at the box hoping that the price will appreciate in value. Tamiya is known to rerelease old kits both plastic and radio control models. Recently Tamiya has rereleased rare RC cars like the Frog,Hornet etc...

I don't know, it does sound pretty rare. Maybe you should send it to me and I'll hold onto it for ya!

Re: Mint Tamiya 180sx
Build it! That's what it was made for. You're not going to retire on selling it.

Build it! I bought this kit sometime ago from ebay for around $20. Quality is OK but not superb.
