Other than their 12K winch, Milemarker uses permanent-magnet motors. They draw less current, but are also not nearly as well-suited to winching duty as the series-wound motors that Warn uses in all their winches. Ramsey switched to series-wound motors across the board not long ago as well.
Milemarker just got into the electric winch market a couple or three years ago and there isn't a whole lot of history on them yet.

Re: Shrockworks winch bumper

I will be installing Shrokworks winch bullbar bumper to my '07 Xterra Off Road without a body lift or suspension lift. The factory tires that came with it are BF Goodrich Rugged Trail size: 265/75 R16. I am planning to replace them with BF Goodrich Mud Terrains size: 285/75 R16 without any body lift or suspension lift after the Shrockworks bumper has been installed. Can this be done without problems?
