power / performance programmers
Does anybody make a programmer for the trailblazer?
I have a 4.2l 2006 and can't seem to find any. Have looked at Hypertech, Jet, superchip Anyother suggestions? Are these things also worth the money? Mostly wanting to max HP and perhaps bump up MPG |

Very hard to get HP and gas mileage together.

Re: power / performance programmers
They are not illegal, you are not changing emmissions hardware, only tuning your engine, and in fact generaly improving emmissions. Legal in all 50 states.
Especialy usueful if you change tire size (which I want to do), as well as helps to program the best fuel/spark settings all along the RPM band, as well as fine tuning your shift points. I have seem them work and add value, just can't find one for this TB. |

Re: power / performance programmers
The EPA law is horrible piece of legislation; you can interpret it that bringing your dog who flagellates too much in your vehicle violates the law. The legislation is not intended to prevent owners/service technications from improving engine tune and in cases providing better combustion and reduced emissions.
Like aftermarket catalytic converters most of these types of products are in cleared via CARB executive orders. They are not illegal, in fact just the opposite they have been certified as being legal. Very simply they are legal and very useful. I just want to find one that works on my TB. I really don’t care continuing this legal discussion anymore. If you want to then please start your own thread on that subject Anybody find anything that works on TB’s with a 4.2L? |

If you operate your vehicle on a federal funded highway you are subject to federal and EPA laws and regulations. The EPA clean air act/law does not cover weather programmers are legal or not. But does deal with and cover anyone tampering with emissions. And provides a stiff penalty and also jail time for anyone that does.
