TT Swap To Commence upon approval

TT Swap to commence upon approval of the parts list.
I went to Z1 to get a whole slew of parts for my convertible Z and I am scheduled to start my swap in just over 2 weeks, that is if you guys say that I'm not getting ripped. Here is a list of the parts that I am buying and their prices. If you don't think I need it then feel free to give me input. Here it is:

It is a long list and it came to $9200 for everything. I'm also doing an engine dress up along with it. The intake plenum will be black and the timing belt covers will be red. Plus all the chrome = very nice. Well input and kudos are much appreciated. Thanks guys.

Re: TT Swap To Commence upon approval

I'm not up on how much the chrome stuff costs but otherwise that appears to be a standard rate for everything on the list. However "Chrome hood prop rod" appears twice, once as $50 and again at $70.

Honestly, you should be researching this yourself. Check other vendors for prices on the parts not made in house by Z1.

The Blitz boost controller is probably the best on the market. It's also very expensive. A Greddy Profec isn't the greatest (I've noticed now that I have a full exhaust and the turbos spool stupid fast that it has trouble keeping the boost down to the levels I've set when spooling up. Which you can counter act by adjusting the gain setting but then boost controller up top at full throttle in higher gears can start weaving up and down.) but it is a lot cheaper. Do some research and figure out what you need.

Also, a lot of the OEM parts like the under engine covers, splash guards and few performance items like the JWT filter can be had quite a bit cheaper in good condition off the Twinturbo.net classifieds.

You might want to check around for a local chrome shop to do simple things like the balance tube and hood prop. You're going to be getting those parts on the clip and it could be cheaper to clean them up yourself and get them done locally.

Be sure to nail down what if any guarantees come with the motor and what diagnostics they did.

It doesn't list what they're charging for the front fascia but that too might be something that would be cheaper on the classifieds, especially since a big Jspec fascia group buy wrapped up.

If you're getting the work done at Z1 then you could try talking with them about using as much off the clip (like the fender liners) and off their parts cars as possible.
