A small detail to be worried about in the grand scheme of things, but looks so much better.

On another but related note...remember how we wished for, and how long it took, for a company to produce the Ferrari 550/575?

These mirrors are from BMW Z1 with modified sticks. For me it's not a difficult to copy them from Revell's BMW Z1 and to fix it to the McLaren's doors.

BVC500: Special for you. This is just a quick installing by means of a child plasticine.

The mirrors looks not the best, but I can correct the shape for a better similarity (more sharp horizontal rib). If you want I can make a copy for you.

Thumbs up to Aoshima for listening to us modelers and release a kit we've been waiting for so long. Hopefully their kit will have more details and better quality than Fujimi's offerings, like they did with the Aventador.

That would be awesome!

Re: Aoshima has a Supercar secret to share... its a M.....

I feel like there are more than one super car kits in progress, the one hinted at their English Facebook page, and the other on Japanese blog. I see a rear wing in the teaser below. Could it be the LM version, or a completely different car?

Just read Aoshima's Japanese blog (using a translator). They gave hints that they'll release the road car first, followed by other versions in the future. Hope they'll eventually release both the short tail and long tail race cars.

The blogger is wondering whether "Fujimi" will release other versions or not.
In any case, we'll find out more in four days.

You'd think after ten years of waiting, I could wait another 4 days... but I can't.

I'm waiting it already twenty years, since 1993!

Thanks for the correction! As the sentence concerned showed up on a separate paragraph on my browser, I thought Aoshima is planning to release other versions.

I too have been drooling over building a 1/24 scale of the Big Mac, ever since I saw it on car magazines back in 1994-95.

Re: Aoshima has a Supercar secret to share... its a M.....

In addition to the (still not guaranteed...) McLaren F1, didn't Aoshima show a photo of an Aventador J late last year?

And I have to think that a McLaren P1 might be coming as well, it would only make sense.

Then all we'd "need" are the Veyron, LaFerrari, and possibly the Veneno as a wild card...

Re: Aoshima has a Supercar secret to share... its a M.....

Yup, these F1 models are LONG overdue. Still can't believe a plastic model of it is actually here. I hope Fujimi and Aoshima sell a gazillion of these, just to prove they should have done it alot earlier.

Just hope I don't have to wait another 10 years for a Koenigsegg.

Re: Aoshima has a Supercar secret to share... its a M.....

Aoshima have been posting pixelated pics of their upcoming releases, one looks suspiciously like the Celica ST165 rally car (one of my all time faves ), the other is much harder to make out. But, if you squint your eyes enough, you can vaguely make out the shape - looks like a Le Man prototype to me.

Not so excited about a F1 big Mac, but that Celica ST165 does make my banana dance! Great news.
