Audi Wheels

OK, my Audi has gold wheels. But I'd only want gold wheels if I was painting it black. And I'm painting it red. Is it OK to paint the wheels? Will that turn out OK? Should I use chrome silver or flat aluminum?

Are they gold chrome? If so, you'll probably want to strip the chrome and paint on the bare plastic.

Castrol Super Clean, oven cleaner, brake fluid, etc... can all be used to remove the chrome.

Chrome silver!
Primer them for best results, but yeah, no problem painting them! Can you spray them?

I still need to get my airbrush, but I have to wait until Tuesday as all stores are closed today and tomorrow. Need primer as well.

I wish I had a digicam to show you guys...I'll try to find a picture of one of the wheels on the net

Well, I couldn't find any half decent pics of the kit, but I found a sweet model shop here in Canada that carries Tamiya, Aoshima, Revell, Fujimi, everything! I'll probly order stuff from there, plus then I'm already working with the correct currency. IMP Hobbies

Also, during my quick excursion through the web, I just found out that both my R5 Road car and this new Audi model are both long discontinued, hard to find, and highly coveted...my local hobby shop has a stock pile
