2000 Mirage knocking bad under foot at 50-65

Trying to figure out what the knocking is under my driver side front wheel or underfoot. It knocks lightly most the time (no rhyme or reason) but really bad (and scary) when I reach about 55-65 and the knocking is alot harder and faster. Feel it alot under my foot while on the gas. The CV joint had been replaced about a year ago and my son and I just changed both front tie rod ends (outer) thinking that was it, but now it seems worse. The last few days it's almost felt like the car was 'floating' going straight down the road. I know a wheel alighnment is due since we were the ones to change to tie rod ends but want to figure it out before doing the alignment.

My son jacked up the driver side and kinda jerked the wheel, the steering wheel inside the car jerked back & forth with it also, even though it was in park with the emergency brake on. Steering wheel does not shake when driving though, just a slight vibration. We are know thinking maybe the inner tie rod? Or??? It's parked for now as I am scared to drive it but need it soon.
