Re: 4G64 Swap

Heres what the axle shop told me. Just give the 1.5 axles and measure end to end from the tranny to the back of the knuckle, they will do the rest for 400.

Re: 4G64 Swap

thats good, sounds like a fair price since they dont have what they need to make. idk about how theyre gonna get or if they're gonna make their own 4g64 inner splines but wutever if it works go for it. cant wait to see another g64 rage.

Re: 4G64 Swap

Hey guys i'm back again but this time with more things to add with the swap.

I'm now working on a DOHC Evo 8 head swap. I just purchased the head off of ebay and now piecing together the head since it was just a head with no intake or exhaust manifold.

If anyone knows how to wire up the 2.4 ecu on this hybrid setup please let me know. I'm trying to stay away from going the AEM EMS route.

I've done some research and for sure some guys have removed the emmobilizers from the evo ecu and wonder if anyone else did it for the 4g64 ECU. If anyone has info on this it would help me alot!!!

Re: 4G64 Swap

I am hoping someone else still checks this. I am about to lose the 4g15 in my 98 rage. I am considering a 4g64 swap, but i cant afford a ton of down time, what kind of time did the swap take, and what kind of mods does it take. I am debating on replacing with another 15 or going to the 64. I just need to know if I can do the mods myself, I am not a great mechanic but I know my way around a shop.

Basically, can this swap be done in a weekend or is this gonna take alot longer? Help me out please, Thanks guys.
