41 Mark II
Hot on the heals of my last project http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul....php?t=1152562 I'm onto the second car in the set.
41 Mark II Aoshima 42663 Body is in pretty rough shape with tons of mold lines and stuff. All cleaned up and ready for primer. Nice primer gray. Oops forgot the front spoiler, so on it goes and then primed. A quick sand and it is ready for the base colour. |

Re: 41 Mark II
Well shit after a a too long break it's time to dust of the pile of unfinished stuff and try to get at least one more model completed before the end of the year while I have some time off.
A lot has happened between the primer and now that was not photo graphed or deleted when I upgraded phones. The base and clear applied. Sanded, polished and BMF applied. Used a liquid chrome pen to highlight the emblems. The inside all painted up in brown and black. Dope 70's speakers on the back shelf. The under belly, flat black with hand painted exhaust to try to give it a bit of a gritty look. All done. Love the boxy look of this car. Sits nice a low with the wheels tucked up. The rear end. The bumper was painted with Molotow liquid chrome, the stuff has an amazing glossy shine it to. The tail lights where painted with the liquid chrome too but I handled them a bit too much and got a bit dull. For the front the bumper was again painted with liquid chrome along with the head lights and grill. The black on the grill was done by hand and was a pain with all the holes, not sure if there is a better way to do it. Thanks for looking! Onto the next one, should not take too long as I have a few like 80% already done. |
