Cool swap out 2000 4.3 to 05 4.3 jimmy

hi hope some one can help I am swapping a 4.3 2000 jimmy with a 4.3 from a 05 2 door blazer. And if any one can tell me what I may have to re use from the original engine will be good. The computer is has different plugs, but most of the other sensors look very similar. However the 00 has a egr pipe from the exhaust manifold to the intake manifold with a egr valve, and the 05 has none of this on the engine.so can I just install this 05 and not use the plug to the egr valve..... will it still run ok or will it turn the engine light on. Or would it be better to change the wiring harness and use the 05 computer. Or swap the intake manifold with the new 05 engine and deal with the issues with bad sensors and high mileage filthy parts' have both trucks complete so what combination of parts will make this swap as easy as possible. Any help will be greatly appreciated thank you. Oh ya the 2000 is a automatic and the 05 is a standard.
