Sometimes im driving and the it starts putting and dieing out!! what should i do? also lately the brakes have gotten really hard to push down and their is a squeling sound when i pull up to a stop with the windows down, i can hear squealing? Re: 1994 Z34 Chevy Lumina Help!!! Has Irratic Idle

It's hard to trouble shoot a problem without the car in front of me but I'll try. As far as the brakes go, if your fliud is full it's a vacumn leak like Tom stated which could also be causing you idle problem. It would also be a good idea to clean your engine out with some carb or fuel injector cleaner. I recommend using the spray into the throttlebody type cause it works better than the gas additive type. After you clean it leave your engine running for atleast 1/2 hour to reset the computer. Hope this helps.
