Lightbulb HOW TO..... Convert rims from male to female

This was sort of "needed' on a current project after an accident, so I just decided to post it:

First we start off with rims:

The following drill bits is what I used.

The wheels stubs are removed using a plier.

This step isn't required, and can be skipped:

This step is used for detailing purposes:

The plastic size is 7/32" with an opening for 5/32" made to fit the black/clear "V-1" part(s)

Here is the rim put together, now you just need to add lug nuts & paint.

Hope this helps any of you!

*edit*
Fixed image host. Originally was hosted on Imagestation, I beleive I posted this at the time we couldn't upload on AF.

Nice detail Hono. Great write up. Those look like the old Tamiya Mugen civic race wheels. I had that kit, until I gave it away.

Re: Re: HOW TO..... Convert rims from male to female

Thanks for all the coments guys,
ex-r - the rims are from the Tamiya race civic kit, I ended up damaging one a while back (not sure what I was doing )

Does anyone know the name of these rims?? I figure they're Mugens, but on referance pics of the race car, the rims aren't like the ones that I have.
