all motor or NOS?

Hi guys I'm from the netherlands and I have a civic SiR 4th gen
what do you advice me to do next on my car
I don't know what option I should chooce maybe you can help me out
I have 2 options:

buy some Skunk2 cams, valve springs, ti. retainers, cam sprockets, mugen headgasket.
OR
buy a Zex nitro kit on stock bottom end

I allready have Intake, exhaust, headers, ACT clutch, B&M fuelpressure regulator
I did a 15.01 on my first time at a 1/4 mile test.

I really need your advice cause over here all they know about are VW's.

Is your car a daily driver or a weekend racer?? I personally would go all motor but if you're looking for power when you need it then you can always go with NOS for the cheaper alternative ...

Hi there my fellow Dutchman
I drive the same car and I my advise would be (if the cash is there) to go all motor. I would never use nitrous on my precious B16, just build it up to have beautiful power, all the time
And there IS a Honda scene in Holland, you just have to look in the right places. You do know about TCC and Hyperformancetuning right?
But you are right about the VW's though, too many of them around here...

I have access to EDM parts
But most EDM parts are the same as the JDM parts.
What are you looking for?

all motor or nos

I do know about TCC and Hyperformance tuning but I wanted a honda guru to give me some advice

My car is a daily driver and I wanna know if I go with the NOS that it wont blow my engine up or just to stay allmotor for reliability.

Go with cams and head build up.
The stock bottom end will handle it, and Im pretty sure the Stock ECU will also handle it. (the only thing you might ever need to change is the redline, the stock ECU will handle fuel etc easily)

Pull the fuel rail off, unless you like the looks, it does nothing for your performance, unless you want to start making more than about 300hp.

As a cheaper alternative some ITR or CTR cams will fit, and give you nice power boost. no need to change retainers etc either.

and a Time of 15.01 is awsome!!!!!!!!!!

Iv always wondered what they were capable of, and with my extra 10hp I feel with the right technique high 14s could be possible from my car.
Its good so see an actual number for an SiR.

With Skunk 2s and some time on a dyno to set the cam timing you should be well into the mid-low 14s.
And you will be able to do it when ever you want, even on the street when some fool in a VW VR6 trys to pass you.

With NOS you will also be in the 14s, maybe 13s, but at a huge expense. Engine life will suffer, and you will only be able to do it when the bottle is full, and then only for a short period of time. Great for the track, but thats it.

I am in the same boat all motor=$$$$$$. not cheap at all. NOS on the other hand done right will cost you more than the 500 (US) for the kit. If you do the NOS route dont go over a 75 dry shot on a stock motor. www.hondanet.org has a great N20 mod who would love to answer your questions. He hopes to have a sticky soon about proper N20 setups.

If he goes Nos. He can use the 50 shot safely. Anything above it he has to upgrade his fuel pump etc...

All motor or turbo. NOS = F&F ghey.

I've been researching CTR cams and drivetrain and it really seems to be the way to go. All I have to do is have the guts to take my SiR out of stock mode - something I'm not sure I want to do
