I like to add more to the kit due to the price i have to pay here to get them. Yoiu pay good money and i like to put in as much effert i can to make the model look as close as possible to the real thing

The best way to build a model is your way.If you want to enter and win contests,the basics are the most important.Otherwise,build how it pleases you.I've seen some very rough models thst showed great imagination,the builder captured "the look".To me that is more important than anything else.Finally,to those who build box stock and,or simple "I SALUTE YOU".

I think building straight OOB once in a while is a good thing for even the most advanced modellers. In fact I feel the need to do a straight ahead build some time soon. Just to relax and have the satisfaction of producing a result quickly, rather than spending months and months on one modified and detailed kit.
