Re: Car modeling... confessions
Years ago when I got back into the hobby There were several grail kits I wanted and swore I would put all others to the side if I were to obtain them. I have all of them except two and have only built one.

Re: Car modeling... confessions
I am too afraid to fail with some kits that I never find the guts to start building them.
Fail in this case = meeting my expectations |

Re: Car modeling... confessions
I have essentially stopped posting, and stopped building- because I hate taking pics of builds. If the pic doesn't look as good as the build it's of, it just isn't much fun....

Re: Car modeling... confessions
Perhaps this is a condition we all suffer from. I mean, reading everyone's posts I was like hey I do that too. And by the looks of it we all someway do it. My name is Keith and i have a problem lol

Re: Car modeling... confessions
Model doctor?! I've seen a lot of model surgeons around here. Is that the same? I can see it now...
Model doc: ok just take 2 tamiya or hasegawa kits and call me in the morning.:

i also confess to using 1000, 1500, 2000 grit then straight to rubbing compound and wax when finishing up paintjobs. that usually ends up with raised/hard edges having sanded off paint (fortunately, i've so far had this only with black). and back then when i had this lanevo obsession, i snapped up a ton of fujimi's lanevo7 kits - i'd complain about how they may have a racecar exterior (ex: advan piaa lanevo7) but have a street-spec suspension, floorpan and cockpit, and yet still buy another one once i'm done building it, then complain about it again ("what?! same parts, just different plastic, different rims and decals?")... fortunately for me the local hobby shops nearby didn't buy more of them kits and i was only buying kits online back then for old macross kits (which i ended up selling all of them except 3 small kits since i didn't have time to build them)
