Yea the kit wasn't cheap. It was $39.99C.

I will clear coat it in ChromaClear by Dupont. Its automotive clear. I'll do that in about a 3 weeks. The clear cures a ton faster than the tamiya spary I used to base it, so I have to wait for the tamiya to fully gas out(?).

frodus: I have an airbrush, BUT it sucks and I don't trust it to do my bodies. I just used Tamiya spary cans. Shake the $hit out of them and let them sit in the hottest water you can get from your tap for about 5 mins (till the can is warm). Then spray a bunch of very light coats. The first coat should not cover the car in colour. You should be able to see primer under it. And its 1/24th.

You could put the body in a food dehydrator set at 110 degrees Fahrenheit (no higher or the plastic will melt) to speed up the curing process.

I'm still stumped as to why spraying clear immediately after will not cause Tamiya spray paint to crack while even a day afterwards will cause it to crack.

Cobber, you should really try Pacific Mall for your kits since your in Ontario. I went last weekend and I saw the Porsche GT3 was only $35.80. They got good model selection, not so much for the prices on some of the models compared to buying them from Hobbylink though!:smoker:

Which Tamiya silver is that?? It looks SOOOO smooth!

Your Porsche is sweet. I love the silver. I can't wait to see it finished.
