01 sephia a/c compressor pulley

Is the a/c pulley supposed to spin freely ? If it sticks in spots / feels like grinding internally, can you just switch the pulley/bearing/shaft bolt. How would it be done ?
Thank you.

Yes, you can replace just the pulley bearing- just did one on a jeep wrangler yesterday- Autozone had the bearing in stock ($17.99) - trick is to be able to get to front of compressor where you can use a pair of snap ring pliers to remove pulley snap ring (and clutch driver and bolt first). Then go to your buddy's house and use his arbor press, to press out old bearing and press in new one-

Oh, and if you can't get near front of compressor, then you have to remove it and do the work on your work bench. Sometimes it can be a PITA.
