how to open a seized up car door
I am trying to fix a drivers side front door that is stuck shut and does not unlock. The question is how to open the door. Once it is open, it is pretty easy, but opening it is near impossible. It is a 2005 Subaru Outback Wagon.

Re: how to open a seized up car door
I had an 06 wagon that had the passenger side door stuck shut. Yes, it was a pain in the you know what. But not impossible. You have to remove the inner liner of the door to access the inner stuff. There were two or three screws on the sides to take out, one or two were not accessible with the door closed. So I had to forcibly remove it. You may damage the inner door liner removing it. But the good news is, I got to the inside and could manually turn the latch to open the door. Once the door was open, life was good. I don't see any other way to get at it.
