Cool Frontier wiper probs

Funny thing happened today. The passenger wiper decided to not work driver's side is just fine. Now I figure one of the linkages must have disconnected but before I make a mess and break something I figure I'd ask as to how to remove the plastic piece to see the mechanism.
Could use some help on this and what exactly would be the problem
TIA

My frontier is new, less than 2 weeks old and the 2 metal strips in the wiper blade came out while I was using them. No big deal but I hope this isnt a sign.
