How many db's??

Hey guys, I got a L7 12" (2002 model) and a 950 watt amp wired to mono on it in a 3.25 foot vented box in a hatchback. Any idea how many db's i should be hitting? It pounds, that is all i know. Lol

no too sure, but best way to find out is to hit up the audio shops and find one with a DB meter

hhooohah 130ish mmmhhmm prolly in the higher range around 135-138.
I am kinda disappointed in the L7's they aren't very good for sound quality. Plus i have a customer that blows them constantly usually about one every 2 weeks but he keeps gettin them sent out for service or buys new ones. He's running 2 12"s on a JL 1000/1 and he snaps them regularly... Which is kinda disappointing if you ask me.Since they are spec'd at 650 rms he shouldn't have a problem but he's used to a planet audio 2150 which is a 2150watt mono block amp on 2 12" w7's. He argues not to put them back in as per weight issues. Speaking of decibals we are building what i think is going to be a fucking monster 8 W6 12"'s in a 95 s10 blazer with 2 us amps de3000's We just finalized it and are starting install on the 24th if i'm not being lazy i'll post pics...

qoute of the week: Me on the phone "Audio Communications how may i help you?" Customer " I'd like to put some kickers in my truck" Me: " Okay we have the comps compvr's and L5/L7's" Customer "Nah Nah i want the dub3's" "well w3's are made by jl audio but we have those aswell" "No you aren't hearin me i want the kicker w3's" "I do HEAR you and JL makes w3's" (a small arguement takes place) "Well if you don't have what i want i'll take my business elsewhere" " You know what take your broke stupid ass to circuit city" CLick
SERVICE WITH A SMILE but only if you know what you want and don't argue with me....

definitely take pictures. also, since you obviously know what you are doing, what do you think of the alpine type-r subs? i'mm planning on using either 3 10's or 2 12's, most like just 2 12s for now cause i already have a box to use for them until i do a full custom wheel-well enclosure.

hilarious dude. kicker w3's? that guy must be lost.

as far as db, its to hard to tell. the best advice was to get it check by a shop. just because ur amp say 950 or whatever it was, this doesn't always mean that it's 950 watts. for example those damn crappy amps like legacy and kingwood. those things can claim 1000 watts on thier amps but they'll be lucky if they even reach 400.

good point on the bunk amplifiers. Type r subs are nice pretty smooth they go pretty low but mainly focus on the higher up bass. I put a pair of 12 in my boys 00 grand prix with a slightly used RF 800a2 i sold him and hit pretty hard. Speaking of Rockford i miss the old rockford amps. These new ones are crap and i've been noticing that shit coming from a few of the major companies. RF MTX kicker. Alpine is doing me nice they just started putting the real rms power on the boxes of radios,JL is keepin the market clean,Speakin of radios whats the deal with JVC they got all fuckin high tech in a hurry didn't they. I don't sell this line so i wasn't used to seeing them I saw a higher end one with pics and what not it was pretty slick. Sounding kinda nasty but so did the car in general.
