If you have to worry about cost, don't even waste your time looking at 3kgts, stealth, talon, laser, or eclipse. They will nickle and dime you to death.

Re: nice, somewhat quick, moddable, easy to find, (asian) rwd cars?

You want to buy a car that was declared wrecked and you plan on modding it?

I would suggest you hold off on buying a car if you think you can get a 240SX with a skyline motor for less than 3k.

get a miata, it's seen as a chick car but add maybe a turbo and that thing is fast. it all about the p to w ratio.

Re: nice, somewhat quick, moddable, easy to find, (asian) rwd cars?

a car that has been wrecked probably has a bent frame, lots of bondo, if its still got the original tranny- it might have issues with that. also, when you want to sell it, it will be harder and worth almost nothing.

i still agree with the miata, i see those around a lot for pretty chap, but they are easy to mod and drive awesome.

Re: nice, somewhat quick, moddable, easy to find, (asian) rwd cars?

If I were you I would really wait and save your money for a nice car. You don't want something with a salvage or rebuilt title.. just gonna give you a LOT of problems. You're 16, right? Work a few years, save, research, then get what you want. I was just like you, wanted a decent car that I could mod to be some "super car", and ended up with a fairly crappy civic.

Re: nice, somewhat quick, moddable, easy to find, (asian) rwd cars?

I really suggest a 88-93 mustang, you can definately get some power out of those cars for a fair amount of money

Heres some badass ones in your price range:

even though i know they can get powerful as shit, i dont really like mustangs

plus my mom doesnt want me to get a car thats older than 1996 lol

i can easily get a 96 mustang and stuff but if i were to get a stang id rather get a really old one (muscle car looking) or the 05 ones

Re: nice, somewhat quick, moddable, easy to find, (asian) rwd cars?

I got my car from an auction, you just have to know what to look for. If you are trying to get a specific car, then you might have trouble. Usually people are looking for something clean and reliable. Which is easy to to. Not all auction cars are crap. One I went to sold a Porsche Boxster for 18k, nothing wrong with it. I almost got a 98 Jetta VR6, 5spd, leather, sun roof for $4,000. Thats a hell of a deal I should have bought it.
