2003 Malibu high idle

I have a 2003 Malibu with 57000 on it. It recently started to high idle at roughly 2500 RPM. Could the throttle position sensor have gone bad? It will do this after it warms up.

Thanks,
Todd

Re: 2003 Malibu high idle

Have you scanned for codes?

Usually caused by a vacuum leak, bad IAC/wiring, or crud in the throttle body, causing it to stick open....

Re: 2003 Malibu high idle

Thanks! Ill take a look a the vacuum lines first. It starts hard and you need to work it like a carb'ed engine when you first start it.

Thanks,
Todd
