XM recever in my Nissan

I have a 2005 Nissan altima SER I bought new. When we got it it did not come with XM but the raido was able to use it. So I went to eBay and found one. Got it home and pluged it in the truck and hooked up and antenna. Works call XM had it turned on and have been using it for years. Now I have a 2011 ford with sirius.

Can I take the reciver out of the Nissan and use it on my ford?
If not can I use the Nissan recver on any other car or truck?

Thanks!

Re: XM recever in my Nissan

how does the XM module connect to the old radio ? XM/Sirius doesn't know or care what actual vehicle or radio the tuner is attached to, but if it's one made for a particular radio - it may not work with anything else.
