I can't tell my mom I failed. 2007 accord oil sensor
I'm trying to help mom, I replaced the transmission in her 2007 accord. It's a 3.0L V6 sedan. I never wanted to take on this job because of my lack of experience but I did because it was the only way to help her with our budget. I had a friend help me while removing the old transmission and he jacked the engine up too high and it pulled out of the passenger side engine mount and it rolled over. I didn't know anything was broken until I went to start it and it puked out a lot of engine oil from something that looks like an engine oil sensor just above the oil filter on the passenger side.
image.jpeg Any help or ideas please! She's asking how long until I'm done and I can't bare to tell her I've failed. |

Usually sensors in that area are going to be an oil pressure sensor. Should be available at at parts store.

You said sensors? Plural? I included a picture, the best I could considering the area.
I've searched the best I could at what sensor it most likely is but when I went to the parts stores the oil pressure sensor looks like the piece in the background of my picture with the green attachment, it is some other sensor next to it that I haven't been able to figure out. Oil temp sensor? |

It was the rocker arm oil control solenoid. New from Honda was quoted at $158.00, I asked the Honda parts department what vehicles were compatible with this part and I went looking in junk yards. I found the part super cheap and replaced it within an hour. The hard part was figuring out what it was, thanks for the help stealthee.
