Re: Redline vs. LS1 round 2

It came standard in the c5 corvette, trans am, and camaro Z28 and SS. And I guess the 04 GTO's. Rated at around 340 hp I believe, and usually put down 290-300whp stock. I believe they changed the motor slightly in 2000 or 01 giving it a better flowing intake manifild but a less aggressive cam if I recall correctly, so the power rating stayed about the same.

Re: Redline vs. LS1 round 2

As stated in the wiki snippet it was used in 97-04 Corvettes and 98-02 Camaros and Firebirds, and 04 GTO's. Its a stock engine, but can be purchased as a crate engine as well.

There is a way to win the debate instead of being a chicken and kicking someone out because you screwed up and can't defend yourself. Speaking of chicken, when are you going to sign up for the ALCAN stealthee? Your not scared to race me are you?

I'm still waiting for you to explain this post. What was turbocharged? The ion? The T/A? Neither are turbocharged, so what's his post about?

He made a mistake, he thought the Ion was a turbo car, and he will not admit it.
Anyone can make a mistake, a man admits it and takes responsibility.

LS1- Generation 3 GM (346 cubic inch) 5.7L motor. It is a production engine, however, you can buy it in beefed up crate form.

LS1 is a motor that was available 98-02 trans ams, firebird formulas, Z28 camaros, SS camaros.

The motor Dynos at 300hp stock in these vehicles.
http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1993

However, the LS1 is also present in 97-04 corvettes and the 04 GTO.

In the vette and GTO, the LS1 has 345hp stock.
http://www.idavette.net/facts/pre1997/ls1.htm

Furthermore, this motor is available in Australia in vehicles such as the Holden Monaro.

A piece of advise, look at the car of those offering advice and so called "facts." In this instance if it's a guy in a honda or mitsubishi, don't take his word for it. If it's a guy that owns a LS1 powered car, then you can consider what he's says to be true, still watch for embellishments.

Also, make sure the individual backs up what they say with legitimate sites, not Wikipedia, Wiki is an opinion based site with submissions from everyday people. I've read articles from Wiki about Pearl Jam being the best band of all time, and the like.

If you still would like more information read LS1.com, or simply join to find out more.

Se ya never,

That's cute. I'm not from Alaska, I live here on temporary contract, so stop looking into your crystal ball Ms. Cleo. I'm from South Carolina. So, come up with something negative to say about that state and get back to me.

You just suggested that I commit suicide and, "I come off as a tool?" Typical, state that someone else is committing an offense and turn around and do the exact same thing in your post. You're a piece of work and a hypocrite.

Before I hear another thing about how I'm trolling, I stay in this same thread and give only what is given to me. So, if you're whining, you deserve it.

Again, you were suspended for trolling.

And AGAIN I was making a general statement. Besides you were the one who said it was turbocharged. Should I quote you AGAIN?

Re: Redline vs. LS1 round 2

The worst part about it is the 99onI95 guy isn't all that great at being a douchecannoe. I mean, he is an ass, but he isn't clever at all.

Oh, and here ya go dicksuck, a 2000 LS1 powered SS running a 14sec 1/4: http://www.dragtimes.com/Chevrolet-C...slip-8051.html

Oh, and way to pull "facts" from ls1tech. That is a fucking joke. That would be like me telling you how epically awesome the E46 M3 is, and using E46Fanatics as a reference. And then you go on to insult Wikipedia? What a joke.

Re: Redline vs. LS1 round 2

It's sad when people don't realize how immature it makes them look to behave this way online. I gave 99onI95 a week off for what equates to trolling. It's time for everyone to put their ePenis away, the measuring contest is over. If you want to continue talking about the topic at hand, feel free, but the name-calling and general disrespect shown to each other needs to stop, it's time to act like big boys and conduct yourselves in an adult manner.
