Exclamation Strange Sound

Hey Gents, Just a quick question, perhaps other owners have noticed this phenomenon.

I have a '94 E36 325i (automatic, 90K) and on some days, when the temperature is low, and the car has been driven recently, or not, as the case may be, there is a boiling sound (bubbling) from the rear of the car when it is started.

It doesnt seem to affect the cars performance, and causes no noticeable harm, and goes away after a few seconds. Could this be foreshadowing of bad (expensive) things to come?

Thanks,

Jules.

you don't run the car almost empty do you?

could be that the fuel pump which is immersed in the tank is not getting enough fuel through, bad 'cause it uses the fuel to cool the pump.

as soon as the red indicator lights up it's generally recommended to fuel up.
