02 Aurora Neutral safety switch

Car with 3.5 v6 has intermittent no start and doors will lock and unlock by themselves. I am thinking it is the neutral safety switch, anyone know where it is located on a 2002 with auto.

Re: 02 Aurora Neutral safety switch

I wouldn't be leaning in that direction first.......

Have you scanned for codes, especially "B" codes?

Have you checked your battery cables to see if they are clean and tight?

Battery fully charged and alternator charging?

When the car won't crank, is the SECURITY LIGHT on in the dash?

When it won't crank, is there power on the purple wire going to the "S" terminal of the starter solenoid?

Checked connections at the starter?

Battery was the first thing I checked, it could be a coincidence but if I cycle the shifter a few times it will start. No codes. Also the door locks will lock and unlock as if you put it in gear by themselves without going in gear.
