difference

is there any difference in the engine on a base model 3kgt and an SL?

91-96 base...no, 97-99 the base went from a 222hp DOHC to the 164hp SOHC engine that all Stealth bases(91-96) used.

some people advertise it as 222hp some as 218hp, not all cars dyno the same so I gues its safe to say its 220 hp and just round it off, I do use royal purpule motor oil which is proven to add 2 hp to any car so safely I can say mine is 222hp hahahaha!

It is advertised as 222 hp for 91-96 DOHC's and 218 hp for 97-99 DOHC's. That is CRANK hp, not to the wheels. Most will tell you Mistu overrated the DOHC's. In reality the cars are probably around 210 crank.
