Ugh, I find the Grand national to be an ugly looking bugger myself, but then again, ugliness has a strange way of being 99% of the appeal with American cars (I mean the Dodge Charger R/T is hideous, but god I want one more than anything). I'd certainly roll in a GNX, but I'd be more inclined to be a sucker for all the gadgetry and supercar looks that a GTO VR4 (Or 3000GT as it's known in the States) provides.
OK so I lied, my REAL number one choice is a Supra TT, absolutely insane cars, easy to have a streetable 800-odd hp 10 second Supra in a comofortable and rather cool looking package, so it sort of does what a GNX does while looking better and having a bit of technology on it's side. |

I'd be glad to have the WS6 Trans-Am. In particular, I think the 30th anniversary edition was damned sexy wearing the original Trans-Am colors.
And at 35k off the dealer lot, I don't see how anyone could not like these stats. 0-60 mph: 5.3 sec 0-100 mph: 12.6 sec Quarter Mile: 13.9 sec @ 104 mph Skidpad: .87g Top Speed: 160 mph Braking, 60-0 mph: 143 ft Slalom Speed: 62.1 mph Also doesn't hurt that the 1970 Pontiac Trans-Am is one of my top ten favorite muscle cars.

Well, fast-autos didn't specify whether it was an automatic or a six speed Trans-Am that posted that time. However, it does seem right in keeping with other LS1 F bodies.
Fast-Autos gives a 13.5second 1/4 for the 35th Anniversary Camaro SS, so it's believable that there's some variance in the times.

Grand National or WS6. If you really want a GNX but can only afford a GN, you can get a GNX kit to upgrade you GN to GNX specs(Check out the latest Hemmings Muscle Machines).
