sticking tach 96 honda accord lx
when i let up on the throttle or shift into neutral the tachometer seems to stick at around 1500 rpm and when i last used the car, the needle was stuck at about 1100 rpm after shutting the car off. my check engine light is not on. the car seems to be running fine. with some online research, the suggestion is either the tach itself or a failing ignition coil. tapping on the instrument cluster causes the needle to drop. where should i look first?
