The new commerical

Okay, I think it's a Monroe commercial (maybe Midas) but this guy is driving around inside this little car talking about how it's never run so well in all the time he's had it. The camera pans over to this mechanic who is all proud of the job he's done. Then the driver says, "Let's jump that bridge!" to which the mechanic finally tells us "but we're in a Yugo!" Sadly, the little lime green car doesn't nearly make it across the span, and it ends up top-first in the stream below.

The commercial is only really funny if you see it. But omigosh, it is one of the biggest laughs I've had at the expense of advertising in a long while!

I thought we only had it in Canada! I think the exact words were

Yugo owner "Hey, it's running great!"
Yugo owner <looks at techie>
Yugo owner "Let's jump the bridge!"
Techie "But we're in a yugo!"
<car jumps bridge, makes it about 5 feet before crashing into creek below as yugo driver screams "whooooo"

Techie, back at Midas shrugs shoulders "Yugo..."

Yes your sig DOES make your bum look fat

A good sig test is to send yourself a PM with the signature turned on, that works for me

back on topic, I absolutley HAVE to find this ad, being an ex-Yugo owner I would find it hilarious :silly2:

It's not for yugos, it's for brakes... they couldn't afford to make a commercial for yugos...

Yugos need brakes? Don't they need to be able to get going first?

Well, you have to be able to slow them down when you're pushing them downhill

Why would you want to slow it down when your pushing it off a cliff? I'm assuming that's what you mean by downhill.
