17, First Car... hmmm
ok, hopefully soon after i passed my test i will be gettin a car... however, you know how insurance is and all the other things that go along with it... well
to get to the point, i would like some advice from you guys on what sort of car is good for a first car which will be driven by a 17 year old in England, UK... remember, its the insurance that holds me back a bit my budget, im not really sure on... just need a car thats cool, runs well and has a little speed and that wont have a really high insurance cost. Thanks in advance for the advice, -Maidioso |

i am not certian how insurance works over there mabye its the same as in the states but go with something over tens years old then you get a big discount. four doors help too cuz then its not under sport compact. the older you go the better your insurance is gunna be. plus if you get good grades that helps too. like my brother gets a 20yr discount on ins. cuz his car is between 20 and 25 years old. and just because its old it doesnt have to be crap. he drives a nova. mint condition. fast as hell and looks cool as hell and pays like next to nothing compared to me with my new imports.

i imagine the civic will cost more to insure, the civic is the most expensive to insure compact in the US. Fuel will also cost more, especially in europe where diesel is cheap.
