Passing Inspection -- Straight Pipes Installed

So about 2 years ago, my bf at the time got me straight pipes for Christmas and had them installed. He told me for inspection, to take the car to the mechanic who installed the pipes but he didn't tell me why.

I took the car there today and he told me why it won't pass inspection but, the mechanic couldn't give me the inspection.

He said since the straight pipes were installed, the catalytic converter was taken out and the only way I can pass is having them reinstalled.

The earliest this mechanic can install that for me is in Sept which means I can't drive my car at all til then.

How can I find a mechanic or gas station that could do the inspection for me and may do it illegally?

Or, is there anything else I could do??

Find another shop that can reinstall the cats.
