Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet
As I was in the area I stopped by Herb Chambers "Cars & Coffee" event this morning at BMW in Sudbury MA, #044 was on display so I got a few shots of it, not an easy task when unsurprisingly there's lots of other people showing an interest in it:
If anyone's interested pictures of some of the other cars at the event are on my FlickR page here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/5864923...th/6039816731/ |

Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet
No - that is #029 and it is actually in Japan. The broker listing that ad is from the USA. I have it on good authority the car is still in the Land of the Rising Sun.

Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet
That is great news Phil.
I kind of figured it had been sold when the ad disappeared. It will be most interesting to see if it stayed in its original configuration once it resurfaces. >8^) ER |

Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet
Yes, good find. Is it #055 or #074 ? If the year is correct it would be #055, sure ?

Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet
Driver's seat appears to be black here ruling out chassis #074 and making it #055.
Not sure who the lucky driver was, but that's clearly not RL. Might be the same guy who was driving LM3 in John Lamm's photos from his book "Supercar Revolution". I could have sworn this car was a 1995 though... >8^) ER |

Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet
Thank you Erik,
he is not the man who drove RL's cars in Paris. He said to a friend he drove LM3 2 or 3 times ! Phil |
