Hey, sounds like you might have a bad ignition coil.

Sounds like a crankshaft sensor, it doesnt bring up the engine light but when it is faulty it heats up and stops working causing the engine to cut out. When the engine gets cold the car will start. Had this problem at work couple of days ago. New sensor fixed the problem.

Re: can someone PLEASE HELP

When you say it stops and won't go, does the starter engage or is it completely dead. If the later, you could just have a loose battery cable or perhaps the wire insulation is damaged allowing it to short out against the block.

Re: can someone PLEASE HELP

Sup,
My sis had a similar problem, She was told to get the tank looked at, but we noticed that it was only happening when the petrol tank was low, not empty but under a quarter tank.
When she keep the fuel high, it doesn't happen, and she hasn't had any problems with it for a few months, so i guess that might have worked.
Sorry if this doesn't work? it worked for my sis for some reason?
thx

Re: can someone PLEASE HELP

I have the same thing with my 01 Tiburon right now. Turns out the crank shaft is banging against something. That's $2500 if that is what it is. Hopefully you're under warranty. They're trying to get me on mine because I can't find an oil change reciept from 10k miles ago... lame right. I've had 2 since and they never noticed a problem >< I think they just don't wanna pay the piper.

The other odd thing it may be is a Flywheel (sp) problem, if it seems to randomly stall out like that. Again, my 01 Tiburon had that problem also right off the lot. I bought it at 17 miles and they couldn't figure out why my car was randomly stalling out or not starting until around 500 miles.

That's all I have for you. No idea what the amount of gas would have to do with anything unless there's water in the tank.
