another keyless entry problem.

On a 1991 Roadmaster Estate Wagon, how do you program the keyless entry? I removed the quarter panel, but I don't see anything there like you would see in a regular Roadmaster. I see a TRW box, but nothing empty to put a screwdriver in like the other posts said to do. Is a 1991 different from 92 and up?

Re: another keyless entry problem.

You should be able to follow the wiring off the TRW box to a connector that is "unplugged". In the end of the plug you will see the 2 pins you need to connect.

Re: another keyless entry problem.

If you follow the wires to the back taillight area you will see two wires that are not hooked up to anything. One of them has two wires, the other only has one wire. On my 93 that is the wire you need to work with. All you have to do is ground that wire. You will hear all the doors lock. Once they have cycled through this while the wire is still hooked up press any button on your remote only once. Disconnect the ground and you are finished. If you are doing two remotes you need to do them at the same time.
That was on my 93 wagon. I hope it is the same for yours.

Question Re: another keyless entry problem.

Just bought a '96 wagon. Which side of the car is the connector on, and where do I need to go in? Is it a one wire on the '96, or a two wire that needs its contacts shorted to each other?

Thumbs up Re: another keyless entry problem.

Thanks!

Where, exactly, will I be looking for the connector? And is it the same as the sedan connector?

Somewhat familiar with the process from my '89 Reatta's.

Thanks again!

Re: another keyless entry problem.

The connector should be identical to the sedan's - just in the specific wagon location.

Re: another keyless entry problem.

I'm guessing I have to take the trim off on that side. It does not appear to be in the storage bin.

In front of, over, or behind the wheel? Just trying to determine what I have to yank.
