Horsepower vs. Torque
Does an aftermarket intake such as Volant offer horsepower but decrease torque. I have an 2005 Toyota X-Runner and I have not done any performance mods. However I want to do things that would increase both. Any suggestions

Re: Horsepower vs. Torque
Welcome to the AF.
Unless you can find independent dynamometer testing on your vehicle that indicates that you gain hp or torque when you add this intake (and no other change has been made), assume that the intake does nothing and don't waste your money. Sorry, no concrete suggestions on improving that engine. Headers and exhaust are the normal place to start. Supercharger may be available. Depending on what engine you have.
