grand am engine light?
I drive a 2000 grand am- 4 cyl- and have been having issues with the engine light coming on recently. I have had it turned off several times and it keeps coming back on. I had them do a diagnostic and the codes that came back reflected that it may be a problem with the catalytic converter or O2 sensor. But, I just had both of these parts replaced last year, and am not having any of the mechanical problems I had last year that led me to replace these parts. I have not noticed any issues and wouldn't know anything was wrong if the light didn't come on.
Could it be faulty work on the CC and O2S last year, or could it be something else? Thanks! |

Re: grand am engine light?
Welcome to AF !
Do you know what code specificly ? If thier was something else wrong in the engines systems you could toast a new CC, but its not likly. Though thier are 2 O2 sensors, the other could be bad if it wasnt also repalced.
