Wow!

Man this place is beat.

I rotated my tires yesterday, since the temp. finally rose above freezing. Good thing I did; my brakes are about done (pads).

Have any of you guys re-lined your calipers? How many miles were on the car when you did? Mine prob don't need it. I would like to clean up the calipers though, since they are rusty on the visible surface. I tried to clean the inside of the wheels with a Simple Green-like cleaner, and with Goof Off, but they still have a lot of nasty stains. Any suggestions on how to get that crap off?

I rotated front to back only, and now I have extra front tire noise. I hope it's only due to the difference in tread....

So now that it's above freezing here, I'm cruisin' with the top open and the Clay Aiken blaring!!!

Re: Wow!

I've got 32K as well and I need new pads asap. I'm getting tons of squeal and also that dreaded grind that some people have been mentioning every time I brake. Hopefully the rotors won't require resurfacing. Little things are happening with this car that are really adding up. Besides the brakes, the rotors, the dash rattle (NOW I'm getting it), I have popped 2 headlights in 2 months and the gas cap failed inspection (what the hell?). Dumb things. I don't remember this many inconveniences with my Civic...

Re: Wow!

Hmm.....you'd better get to those brakes soon, or the rotors will require turning - from the sounds of things.

What do you mean by "popping" headlights?

Re: Wow!

He means he popped a cap in it's ass because it wouldn't light up enough of the road.
