I'm actually seeing more Diamante than Galant- but fiar observation

I actually like the 97-version better, but I disagree to that Italdesign has taken away the Alfa-appeal, and made it more like a Mitsu. I just can't see a trace of Mitsubishi anywhere. However, the from the side, the 156 just doesn't look as great as it used to be. Maybe I'll reconsider my statement after seeing this car in its pure sheet metal.. hehe

Substance of this restyle is again Fiat's need for more cash reflecting
times of trouble.

Sadly Alfa (hope this will end soon), wants to path in German all-familly
look models and new shape/face of 147 looks of less virtue then
present one. (what does old really means these days in auto world)

I have to say I like recent face, more refined and distinctive then
this 147 new look. Shame.

I Geneve thay have showed to us visitors new interior with large screen
and brand new dashboard, but sadly this failed to finds its way in this
restyle. It is clear that only reason of the same is competition and
buying some time. But really, why?
156 drives exquisite , look without pears.

But this be all a joy compared what GM has in mind for new 158 look.

Pardons for typos, I'm in between things while I type.

GM? Certainly.

Fiat and GM goe back since 70's

Alfa/Lancia/Saab have shared all platforms till 9-3 hatch.
Lancia was full of GM parts.

Fiat has no financial power to create alone next turn of parts so it needs
to share with partners like GM.

With Fiat ugly display of making business decisions, GM will play even
greater role.

I've seen some sketches- I don't want a Vectra/CTS-clone look tank you very much

You think that is scary?

Since few months ago,...another GM’s brainstorm decision came to light.

It is not enough that Saab has to design engines with best know-how on turbo, so how do you thank them, well, you imprison them with all Opel departments together including parts department as well.

So now, Saab has to ask for Opel whether he might imply his own (!) ideas for his own cars or better give all that before to Vectras and other under quality realization.

Just then might he employ some his own cars.
GM considers Saab as luxury segment, guess what he thinks about Alfa?
He has "great" visual idea for Saab as well save alone Alfa.
Fast food, overweight-coronary creativity lives under GM.

Hope Alfa will endure this somehow.

I thought GM was a minority shareholder in FIAT

To summate those you mentioned, add research and sharing extra parts and decade of two combined all together, that’s a long time.

Here GM’s vision for new 156 (project 939) 158 Alfa.
Not bad for Tvr Cerbera ???

Nightmare, boxy , nightmare…to play with such expressive lines and make this…shame
