Chrome Wheel Cleaning

I just got my new ZO6 chrome wheels and I was wondering how to clean them. A friend of mine got some chrome wheels and to clean them he used the same wash mitt that he used on the rest of the car, that ended up scratching them (even though it looked clean). How do you normally clean these types of wheels? Thanks

Are they new? If so they shouldnt need much cleaning, just clay them and use a high quality sealant.

If they are somewhat dirty here is what i would do.
Use Eagle one A2Z wheel cleaner on them. Spray on dry wheel, let soak for a min, agitate with wheel brush ( meguiars makes a good one). Then rinse off. After doing this you once you should clay them and use a good sealant on them. From then on you should use a dedicated mitt and you should only need to use car wash soap.

Re: Chrome Wheel Cleaning

Clean them regularly, and wax them like your car's paint...especially if you live in a wintery climate. NY winters reeked havoc on some of my rims. The chrome was peeling, pitting, etc. Salt, snow and chrome don't mix...
