Bit harsh!!! A few of them you make something of.
Could you see where you were going in that Mustang?

That Mustang is just an existing, not very bright in itself, kit with a new hood and wheels.

I can forseee the Ford GT will be a joke like the 2015 Mustang and the 2017 Raptor. I hope Revell will prove me wrong, but I won't hold my breath over it.

All and all, just another insult to people who want to build something not made in the stone age.

Revell's Enzo turn out pretty good, so I'll be happy to build one or two Ford GT kits, especially because it's 1/24 scale.
If they can't release a full kit profitably, they might as well make *accurate* curbside snap kits, since you can just use glue to put them together.

While I fear Revell has left any sort of detailed modern model cars in the dust for attracting the kids....I love the GT, even if it is a snap kit. I've seen a ton of cool builds using the 2015 Mustang, which has less detail than the GT (no headlight detail-there is detail under the clear covers on the GT, no mirrors).

The GT will be the Detroit & Chicago Auto Show make & take kit, and in March it will be available for sale. At that point they'll open up flashed-over holes in the body for snap-in side mirrors.

I share the concern on modern cars not being detailed and oriented towards younger, less experienced builders. I can understand why Revell is doing it, I just don't like it.

I also don't like I heard them say there are no current plans in the works for a C7 Z06 or Z06 C7.R from Revell or RoG looking at doing any modern Ferraris like the 458 Speciale, F12 TdF or 458 Spyder. Current plans, to me, read as 2016 and 2017.

At least it sounds like a C7R is being considered.

Revell is likely to get less of my modeling dollars given their current trends. But then, I have over 800 unbuilts in the basement "hobby shop".

Yes, I had limited time at the table so didn't photograph anything other than the GT since it was the only new item that appealed to me personally. I only gave cursory glances to the others..it was a crazy good show, packed and busy all day.

The ACME Southern Nationals from Atlanta this past weekend.

I believe there are photos of the Revell stuff in this album, which is an excellent look at what was at our show.
