Re: Porsche 924 GTS Rallye

A little cleanup on the joints but otherwise the completed roll cage.

It will be terrific I am sure. But true, starting from a 944 body was not IMHO the best choice : a 944 is already widened compared to a 924, particularly the rear wings. Whereas you can see that the rear wings of the 924 group 4 are "flat" before they put extended wheel arches on them.

Hey JC.
Lovely work and reference material.
Personally, If you wish to change the Thread name to mention 924 Turbo and retain the content of the thread because its an informative thread on the build, regardless of any initial errors.
The 924 GTR.. GTS.. Turbo... Eventually 944 can be confusing at the best of times... But when these cars race they might be called 1 thing but to often the are an evolution or test Bed for the next model and the running gear and details can get further confused.

On a similar note...
Personally
I'm a big fan of the 924GTR touring car myself.. But don't know enough about it or have sufficient knowledge of the best base model kit to use.
I'm thinking Hasegawa 944turbo..but that's a can of worms... Body flares... And the above mentioned specs etc
