So have you other guys out there with kumhos had any problems with the sidewalls bubbling out, or is it just me? At first, I was impressed with the grip, but after replacing 2 at just 5000 miles for upwards of $300 after costs I was kind of turned off. What size are you guys running? Im running 235/40/18's.

whatis the best tire...
a difficult question.... starts with the definition of best... the cheapest? most economic? most grip when it´s dry? or wet? or allround? how much to spend? for using on circuits or only in the street? for what car? for one car a tire can be great... for another very bad... in dry on the streets i go for the bridgestone s03 pp in case of using them for running on circuits (with street legal tires) i would go for the pirelli corsa |

Ok, Nokian for the winter (even thou it’s not in the poll), Michelin for the rest of the year. But then again just like Menu dei Motori just said, “Best” is always relative.

Buddy your obviously not aware that Michelin makes these things called PS2's, most supercars run on these, but you knew that right? Also you seem to have forgotten about Yokohama and their Advan line with the Neova, A048 or the A032R. By the way Bridgestone has its ass kicked every two weeks in forumla one. |

Less tread does not equal less taction unless you're racing on a wet or unpaved surface, the more tread you have the less rubber you have touching the road, thats why slicks are ideal for road races.

Re: What is the best tire's make ?
Why was Firestone left off the ballot? They're probably one of the largest and oldest of the more well-known brands.
I've almost always used Firestone. My local Firestone store has also been carrying more and more Bridgestone tires over the last few years. Are they connected? |

Re: What is the best tire's make ?
firestone is garbage.
nitto is garbage. nokians are best in winter. BFGoodrich and yokohama are the two overall best, i dont think one is better than the other. but either is better than all the rest. for straight dry grip, ill take hoosiers over all.

Re: What is the best tire's make ?
Firestone tires are definitely not garbage. Their tires are very good. I've always liked them for many years and still do. I rate them very high and are my favorite.
Actually, there's not any real bad tire. In general, tire design and quality have improved so much over the years. However, I usually stay away from the cheaper off-brands. So far as the best, I think the Michelins that were on the first car I bought, in 1970, were top of the line. Michelin was also the only radial tire out at that time, since they were the first makers of radials. I would rate them as the best, but I think they still cost more. |

Re: What is the best tire's make ?
B.F.goodrich by far....perellis are overpriced for what you get....just like continentals ....michelins are too flimsy in the sidewall and the jap made tires yokahamas are the best...by far for the quality....and dunlop and kelly are good as just a everyday tire...not for track day ....well thats my 2 cents....i work for a tire store so i do have a good idea about all of them.....and firestones and brigestones and daytons.....never had good luck with them.....and generic brands are you get what you pay for
