what colour orange?

is the gallardo the same colour in orange as the murcielago? what colour is this, is it the 'arancio atlas mic 2ct'? is it a pearl or metallic?

im painting my porsche and i really like orange!

Murcielago's official orange paint choices are "Arancio Atlas" and "Arancio Ishtar". The former is a little orange metallic and the later is a darker orange non-metallic kind of like a pumpkin color. The Gallardo's orange is called "Arancio Ymir" and it is about the same as Arancio Ishtar and is a non-metallic as well.

Sorry. The Gallardo also comes in a special three layered metallic oarange paint called arancio borealis which is somewhat close to the Murcielago's arancio atlas. And then of course you can commission Lamborghini to make a new color for you too.

On July 17, 2003, the factory said the Gallardo paint colour Arancio Ymir is not available anymore. So the only orange still available is Arancio Borealis.

im painting my porsche hence the questions regarding colour. the paint shop guys freaked out when i told them i was thinking of a lamborghini colour!

not sure they will be willing to do this for me or that i can afford it but that orange metallic on the gallardo is special. thanks for the informative replies. i dont suppose anyone has the ppg code (arancio borealis)??

i think arancio borealis is my colour of choice. with the guys at the shop we have sprayed up a test panel and i like it! thanks all for your help,

glad you found the color... but I think it would be easier and you would be a lot happier if you sold your porsche and bought the orange Gallardo...the color belongs to this car! remember... people will be noticing your porsche and say... wow, nice colour... but's a porsche (been there, seen that..kind of thing)... if you had the Gallardo, besides drooling all over it, people will be saying... wow! WTF is that??? - it's not just the color... it's mainly the car beneath it!

the guy painted his 911 (for those who can't see it... it's the car on the right in the first pic) the same orange as his Diablo.. maybe you should try to reach him... but anyway you already started painting yours, right?

ok i tried to post a pick of the finished car and instead it is now in the gallery under general automotive..
